The event took place at the Catholic University of America, the alma mater of Servant of God Thea Bowman, and celebrated her extraordinary life and enduring legacy.


WASHINGTON — On Saturday, over 150 participants from across the nation convened at the Catholic University of America for the first Sister Thea Bowman Conference, honoring the life and contributions of the renowned Black Catholic nun. Born in Mississippi, this preacher and educator, who is also a CUA graduate, is currently on her journey toward sainthood.
